Age Limit and Relaxations

• Age Limit: 18-32 years as of 01-01-2024.
• Relaxations:
• 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
• Age relaxation as per the rules for PWDs, candidates under Excise, Registration Taxation & Stamps, Forests & Environment departments, and those already in regular government service.

Based on the letter from the Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Department of Textiles (Letter No. DOT.64/2019/185/Pt-I dated 18th January 2024), and with the Cabinet’s approval on 19th December 2023, age relaxation has been granted. Overage candidates who have completed the required Diploma/Course are now eligible to apply for the position of Sericulture Demonstrator. This age relaxation is applicable only for this recruitment cycle and will not set a precedent for future recruitment for the same post.

Reservation of Vacancies

The reservation of vacancies follows the existing reservation policy under the State Government of Meghalaya. The District Selection Committee reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies as required.

Application Fee and Payment Methods

• Fee: Rs. 100 for general candidates, Rs. 50 for SC/ST candidates.
• Exemptions: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs) are exempted from the application fee.
