Reservation and Age Criteria

The recruitment process will adhere to the reservation policies of the Government of Meghalaya. The break-up of vacancies as per category will be strictly followed according to the official reservation roster.

Age Limit: As on January 1, 2024, candidates must be between the ages of eighteen and thirty-two. For SC/ST applicants, the upper age restriction is, however, lenient by five years. Regular government workers who started their employment within the allowed age range are not subject to an age restriction.

Application Fee and Payment Methods

• Fee: Rs. 100 for general candidates, Rs. 50 for SC/ST candidates.
• Exemptions: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs) are exempted from the application fee.
• Payment Methods:
• Debit/ATM card or Net Banking: Through SBI Collect.
• E-Challan: Generated during online application and payable at any SBI branch.
• UPI: Unified Payment Interface.

Application Process and Important Dates

• Apply Online: Candidates are required to apply online at District Selection Committee South West Garo Hills.
• Registration: New candidates must register on the website using a valid email ID. Previously registered candidates can log in directly.
• Application Code: A unique application code will be generated for each post applied. This code must be used for all future correspondence, including online payments.

Important Instructions to Candidates

1. Eligibility Verification: Candidates must confirm that, as of the application deadline, they fulfill all eligibility requirements, including age and educational background. The aforementioned requirements must be fulfilled by the deadline.
2. Document Verification: After passing the written test, the original documentation proving the candidate’s age, educational background, and other requirements will be checked later. Disqualification will occur if the original documentation cannot be produced.
3. Examination Process: A typing test, written test, and interview—depending on the position—will all be a part of the selection process. Applicants are required to pay for their own attendance at these exams.
4. Admit Card and Examination Updates: For information on changes to the written exam, interview schedule, rejected candidates list, and e-Admit Card issue, candidates should visit the official website often. Applicants must obtain their admission cards from the internet; no individual call letters will be sent.
5. No Modification: Once the application is submitted, no request for changes or corrections in any particulars will be entertained. Candidates must be cautious while filling out the application form to avoid any errors.
6. Prohibited Actions: Giving false information or declaring oneself ineligible can result in disqualification and possibly being barred from taking DSC, South West Garo Hills exams in the future.
7. Canvassing: Any form of canvassing, directly or indirectly, will result in disqualification of the candidate.
