GNM Meghalaya Nursing Admission 2024: GNM Meghalaya 2024 seeks online applications for its three-year General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) program. The Department of Health and Family Welfare holds Meghalaya GNM admission 2024 for interested students.

To be eligible for the GNM course in Meghalaya, candidates must have passed their 10+2 examinations in the science stream. Male and female applicants who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of the state are eligible to apply if they meet the following conditions.

Eligibility Criteria for GNM Meghalaya Nursing Admission 2024

Before applying for admission to GNM courses in Meghalaya, applicants must meet specific qualifying requirements as established by the admission authorities.

  1. Age: The minimum age for entry will be 17 years on December 31, 2024. The maximum age restriction is 35 years old, although candidates with an ANM Certificate are not restricted by age.
  2. A 10+2 level examination with a 40% aggregate score from a recognized university or board.
  3. Candidates can apply from state-approved open schools or the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS), which is recognized by the central government. However, Science is preferred.
  4. 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE Board, State, or Centre.
  5. Registered Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) having a 10+2 education.
  6. Disabled candidates with a locomotor disability of 40% to 50% of lower extremities will be eligible for a 3% disability reservation following a complete examination and certification by a Medical and Health Officer.

Application Process for GNM Meghalaya Nursing Admission 2024

To submit their candidature, they must candidates must fill out the course application form. Follow the procedures outlined below to do this.

  • Applicants must visit the official website of the Directorate of Health Services, Meghalaya.
  • On the homepage, look for the notifications area and click the Apply GNM Course option.
  • The candidate will then be sent to the application page, where they will need to enter certain information. This covers their personal information, educational background, and other relevant information.
  • Following that, the candidate must upload the essential papers and images. The image should not be more than 400 Kb, and the papers should be no larger than 500 Kb in JPEG format.
  • After uploading all of the required documents, the applicant must enter the captcha key and approve all declarations.

Counseling Process for Meghalaya GNM Nursing Admission 2024

Because there is no exam for GNM Meghalaya, straight admission is based on merit. After successfully submitting the application, the candidate must go through the following steps.

  • The candidate list for screening will be published on the official website, and the date will be notified.
  • Following the screening, the merit list will be revealed, along with the list of individuals who have been selected. The list of selected applicants will be posted on the notice boards of the Directorate of Health Services and the Office of District Medical and Health Officer. Selected candidates will not be notified personally.
  • The shortlisted applicants must report to the Deputy Director of Nursing, Directorate of Health, in order to be admitted on a certain day.
  • If a selected applicant fails to do so, he will lose his candidature, and the next candidate on the merit list will be eligible.
