Courses Offered

1. B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration

• Eligibility: Senior Secondary (10+2) in any stream
• Duration: 3 years (inclusive of 17 weeks of industrial training)
• Age Limit: No limit
• Last Date to Apply: 16th August 2024

2. 6 Months Certificate Course in Professional Bartending

• Eligibility: Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent
• Duration: 16 weeks (plus 8 weeks of industrial exposure)
• Age Limit: No limit
• Last Date to Apply: 16th August 2024

3. 1 ½ Year Craftsmanship Certificate Course in Food Production & Patisserie

• Eligibility: 10th class of 10+2 or equivalent examination with English
• Duration: 1 year (plus 17 weeks of industrial training)
• Age Limit: No limit
• Last Date to Apply: 16th August 2024

4. 6 Months Craftsmanship Certificate Course in Food and Beverage Service

• Eligibility: 10th class of 10+2 or equivalent examination with English
• Duration: 17 weeks (plus 4 weeks of industrial training)
• Age Limit: No limit

Special Quota for North Eastern Domicile Students

IHM Shillong also offers a limited time opportunity for North Eastern domicile students to apply for the following courses under a special quota:

• B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration
• 1 ½ Year Trade Diploma Courses
• 1 ½ Year Craftsmanship Course in Food Production and Patisserie
• 6 Months Craftsmanship Course in Food and Beverages

Eligibility Criteria for Special Quota:

• Education: 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects. Students who have appeared for their 12th examination and are awaiting results can also apply.
• Age Limit: No limit

For admissions in the above-mentioned Craftsmanship Courses, the minimum eligibility is a 10th pass with English as one of the subjects. The maximum age limit is the same as above.

Eligible candidates can collect the application forms from The Institute of Hotel Management, Mawakasiang Mawdiangdiang, East Khasi Hills, Shillong – 793018. Alternatively, forms can be downloaded from the institute’s website.

Applications are invited for these courses under the North Eastern domicile student quota.
