Eligibility Criteria for North Garo Hills District

• Age Limit: 18-32 years as of 1st January 2024. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. For posts listed under Sl. No. 8 and 9, the age condonation as per the Cabinet’s approval on 19th December 2023 will apply to this recruitment cycle only.
• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have acquired the requisite educational qualifications as of the last date fixed for submission of applications. The date on which the applicant is deemed to have acquired the requisite qualification shall be the date on which the result of the last examination for such qualification is declared by the respective universities/boards/institutions.

Mode of Examination

• Grade-III Posts: Candidates will have to appear for a written examination in the following subjects:
• Paper I: General English (70 marks, 3 hours)
• Paper II: Elementary Mathematics, Elementary Science & Aptitude including 30 marks for Aptitude (Objective) (130 marks)

• Paper III: General Knowledge (70 marks)
• Interview: 30 marks
• Grade-IV Posts: Candidates will have to appear for a written examination in the following subjects:
• Paper I: General Knowledge (50 marks, 1 hour)
• Interview: 50 marks
• Typing Speed Test: For the posts of LDA-cum-Typist and Typist.
• Physical Fitness Test: For the posts of Sectional Assistant, Gram Sevak, Gram Sevika, and Soil & Water Conservation Demonstrator Jr. I.

Reservation of Vacancies

The reservation of vacancies is as per the existing rules of the Government of Meghalaya.

Application Fees

• General Candidates: Rs. 100
• SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 50
• PWD Candidates: Examination fee is exempted upon furnishing a Disability Certificate.

Payment can be made through Internet Banking (SBI/Other Banks) or Card Payment (SBI ATM cum Debit Card, Other Bank ATM cum Debit Card, Credit Card). Additional bank charges apply for each mode of payment. The fee once deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted for any other purpose.

1. Registration: Candidates must register with the District Selection Committee (DSC) through the provided website using a valid email ID. This email ID will be used for further correspondence by the DSC.
2. Application Code: A unique application code will be generated for each post applied for, which will be used for all future correspondence.
3. Photograph and Signature: Upload a recent colored passport size photograph in JPG format with a white background, along with a signature. The digital size of each file must be less than 50 KB.
