MBDA Recruitment 2024 – The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) has announced exciting job opportunities for individuals who want to contribute to the development sector. MBDA, located in Shillong, Meghalaya, is hiring for two key positions: Development Associate and Communication Associate. These positions are part of the State Capability Enhancement Project (SCEP), an initiative aimed at strengthening the government’s capacity to address various development challenges.

MBDA Recruitment 2024 Overview

Position Details and Qualifications of MBDA

1. Development Associate

Location: Shillong
Salary: ₹50,000 per month
Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as public administration, public health, education, development studies, economics, or management from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

2. Communication Associate

Location: Shillong
Salary: ₹35,000 per month
Essential Qualifications:

• Graduate or Post Graduate in Mass Communication & Journalism or a related field such as public administration, public health, or environmental policy.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in media and communications.
• Good knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and social media tools.

Key Skills:

• Ability to create content, including text, images, and videos.
• Hands-on experience with content management.
• Strong skills in photography, videography, or video editing are preferred.

Essential Skills and Age Limit

For both positions, candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint Presentation, is required.

Age Limit: Applicants should be up to 45 years of age.

Duration of Contract and Benefits

Contract Duration: The contract is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and the continuation of the project.

Remuneration and Benefits:

• In addition to the salary, selected candidates will receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Mobile Allowance, as applicable.
• Employees will also benefit from contributions to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) by both the employee and employer.

Selection Process of MBDA Recruitment 2024

The selection process for these positions involves a written/technical test followed by a personal interview. The written test will assess Subject Matter Knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.

General Information

1. Qualification & Experience:
   Possessing the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call. MBDA reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum requirements or any other condition deemed fit.
2. Communication:
   Candidates should clearly indicate their contact number and email address for faster communication. Information regarding the screening test, written test, and interview will be sent only to shortlisted candidates via SMS or email.
3. Additional Examinations:
   MBDA reserves the right to conduct additional examinations or skill tests if needed. They may also request additional documentary evidence in support of educational qualifications and experience.
4. Vacancies:
   The number of vacancies mentioned is tentative. MBDA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts during the selection process.
5. TA/DA:
   No travel or daily allowances will be provided for attending the written test and interview.
6. Canvassing:
   Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
7. Internal Applicants:
   Current SCEP staff who meet the eligibility criteria can apply. However, they should route their applications through their reporting officer.
