Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must hold a degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Applicants must have secured above 45% in their Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
Age Limit
- General candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 01.10.2026.
- SC/ST candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age as on 01.10.2026.
- The office will accept the date of birth as entered in the Matriculation Certificate or Birth Certificate.
Residency
- Applicants must be citizens of India.
- Applicants must be Permanent Residents of East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya.
Family Income and Parents’ Employment
- Family income must be less than 3 lakhs per annum.
- None of the parents should be in permanent service of the Government of India, the Government of Meghalaya, a Public Sector Bank, or a Public Sector Enterprise.
Selection Process
- The office will select candidates on merit through a Selection Test.
- The test will follow the pattern of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) Examination Preliminary.
- Candidates from BPL families will get preference.
- Candidates from mining affected areas will get 50% reservation.
- Teachers will conduct the coaching classes in English medium.
