MTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Lower Primary (Class I-V):

  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks + 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR Higher Secondary with 45% marks + 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4 years B.El.Ed
  • OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)

For Upper Primary (Class VI-VIII):

  • Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks + D.El.Ed or B.Ed
  • OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4 years B.El.Ed
  • OR Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4 years B.A/B.Sc.ED or B.A.ED/B.Sc.ED
  • OR Graduation with 50% marks + 1 year B.Ed (Special Education)

Important: SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates get 5% relaxation in marks.
