1. Assistant Soil & Water Conservation Officer (AS&WCO) under Soil and Water Conservation Department

  • a) Non Engineering Background: – “Must have completed the basic course of Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry from recognized University and its equivalent.” OR “Hold a certificate in Soil and Water Conservation/Graduate Assistant/Ranger Training Course from the Training Centers conducted by or recognized by the Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR) or the Government of Meghalaya with at least 5 years field experience in Soil and Water Conservation.”
  • b) Engineering Background: – Must have completed the basic course of B.E/B. Tech. in Civil Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering/Water Resource Engineering from recognized University
  • Pay scale: Level 15 of Revised Pay Structure.
  • Total Posts:- 19 Posts

2. Mechanic Motor Vehicle (M.V) Instructor under the Directorate of
Employment & Craftsmen Training, Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development

  • 3 (three) years Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from any recognized Polytechnic/Institution.
  • Pay scale: Level 11 of Revised Pay Structure.
  • Total Posts:- 4 Posts

3. Electrician Instructor under The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Department of Labour Employment & Skill Development.

  • 3 (three) years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any recognized Polytechnic/Institution.
  • Pay scale: Level 11 of Revised Pay Structure.
  • Total Posts:- 2 Posts

Age Limit and Relaxation

Age is an important factor for eligibility. The rules are simple:

  • For posts 1, 2, 3, and 6, age should be between 18 to 32 years as of 1st January 2025.
  • For posts 4 and 5, age should be between 18 to 40 years.
  • There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Government employees joining within age limits can apply without age restrictions.
  • Proper proof of age must be submitted, like your 10th standard certificate.

If you belong to the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, the authorities give extra age relaxation depending on the post.

Application Fee Details

Every candidate must pay an application fee to apply. The fees are:

  • Rs. 460 for posts 1 (Half fee for SC/ST candidates).
