What Is This Opportunity?
The Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT) in Meghalaya is inviting applications for the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). This course will run from 2025 to 2027. You will study at one of the 7 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) across Meghalaya. After finishing, you can teach young students in primary schools. Isn’t that amazing?

Who Can Apply for DIETs Meghalaya Applications Open 2025?
First, you must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Meghalaya. Second, you need to have passed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board. Here are the marks needed:
- General category: 50% marks.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates from Meghalaya and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs): 45% marks.
If you meet these, you are eligible! Don’t worry if you belong to a reserved category—you get relaxation.
